The NME has done a run-down of what they consider to be the Top 100 British Albums of all time and Nowhere has surfaced at Number 39.
The Ride back catalogue is now available for the first time in digital form in the UK. Click on the SHOP link below for links to all the relevant sites.

Marks debut solo album, These Beautiful Ghosts has been released by UFO Music in North America and by Anorak Supersport in Belgium and The Netherlands. There is also a special limited version of the album available with a forthcoming free DVD available exclusively at oxfordmusic.net. More details on Marks live and recorded activity are available at www.markgardener.com and www.myspace.com/markgardener.

Loz has been treading the boards recently in many guises. Hes been playing some solo shows (singing and playing guitar) in and around Oxford; showcasing a new batch of songs that hes planning to record soon. He has also been seen playing guitar and drumming for Dusty Sound System and was even spotted filling-in on drums as a temporary replacement for Danny on Supergrass European tour.

The Ride BBC Radio 1 Sessions album has finally been confirmed for a UK release on August 4th. It'll be called "Waves" and will feature 17 tracks from the 5 sessions that were recorded at Radio 1 between 1990 and 1994 including the cover of The Pale Saints' "Sight Of You" and Dead Can Dance's "Severence" which have only appeared before on a dodgy bootleg purple vinyl 7" single.

Mark is touring the UK in June (details at www.markgardener.com) with Goldrush as his backing band. This follows on from a successful US solo tour in support of the US release of the Best Of CD through First Time Records (www.tftrecords.com). Reports from the US dates and various audio and video clips can be found at Piero's Ticket To Ride fansite which now has a new URL - www.ticket2ride.it. There is a special Mark microsite if you follow the link on the top menu. Mark has recorded a 3-track EP with Goldrush for sale at the UK shows and the EP features a cover of Dreams Burn Down which, coincidentally, Goldrush used to cover in their live set. The UK shows will feature a set of about 50% Ride material.

The Oxfordmusic.net shop now has a special "collectors" section which features a number of Ride rarities for sale (including the odd copy of the Coming Up For Air EP that the band recorded and released last year).

The Box Set has been out of print for about 6 months now but to coincide with the renewed activity it has been re-pressed and will be back in the stores from the beginning of June.

Like A Daydream will be appearing on a CD and DVD compilation album in Germany called "Feedback To The Future" on Mobile Records later this Summer.

There's a great cover of "Vapour Trail" currently being played on KCRW radio in LA at the moment by a band called Trespassers Williams. Apparently it's due for release on Bella Union (the label run by Simon Raymonde from the Cocteau Twins) sometime soon.

For a bit of fun have a listen to the "Freak Ride" track at www.gohomeproductions.co.uk.
