-- First saw the guys @ the slough festival, them the Hummingbird, then Wolverhamptom wulfren hall. Then I saw Mark @ the Fly By Night Club In Fremantle, Perth Western Australia!
He will remember me, as I was the one singing to every song very loud!!!!!
To rap it up, RIDE where quite simply a superb band, original, raw and a life saver for me! Good things never die!!!!!!!!!

-- Hi, I used to see Ride loads in the early 90s, being an Oxford oy. I was recently prompted to reaquaint myself with their stuff after going to the Astoria in London. It reminded me that the last time I was there was to see Ride support The Mighty Lemon Drops in (I think 1989) on the eve of the release of the first EP.
The next day I went to Ride's office in Summertown to buy a t shirt and a ticket for their homecoming gig at the Co-op Hall (now the Zodiac) on Cowley Road.
In earlier years I went to school with Loz (he was Laurence in those days) and in later years played 5 a side with Steve behind Tescos on Cowley Road. Oxford is a small place.

-- Really bummed out I didn't get to see Mark Gardener live in New Orleans last month due to Hurricane Katrina. :-( While family, friends, and homes made it through the storm fine, our lives have been turned upside down. I just got around to downloading my preview mp3s of Mark's album, and can't wait to get it in the mail from oxfordmusic.net!
