-- Hi there I looked just like Andy Bell when I was 17. Went to many gigs at Brixton academy, Brighton, Manchester and the birthplace Oxford. I used to coast around the auditoriums getting chatted up by load of very cute teenage girls in short skirts and DM boot, very tank girl.
I was I very good at pretending I didn’t know I bore a resemblance, I’d be, “no I don’t?, fancy a cider and black”
So thanks to Andy for that I cashed in on his fame very nicely.
Also me sister Joanne used to work with Steve at Habitat after the band split, bit of a come down I’m sure.
Anyway good to see there’s still some interest in what I consider the ultimate NOISE band of the century

-- I've listened to Ride since the very early 90's and was fortunate enough to catch them playing with Lush in Sacramento, CA. I also managed to grab a copy of "Tarantula" in the one week it was on sale, and can play several of their basslines - "Twisterella," "Vapour Trail" and "Taste" being favorites.
You guys were the soundtrack to my late teens and early 20's and I still listen to my old Ride EP's now and again. Best of luck to all of you.

-- First saw Ride in concert at the Brighton Pavillion in 1992. My first ever gig at age 15 with the equally amazing Mercury Rev supporting. With Ride's amazing soundscapes and Mercury Revs's disneyesque psychedlia, you know it was absolutely unforgettable...

-- It's sad that I was not able to see the guys playing live, and I cannot imagine what I did miss !! Andy and the boys should think of getting back together, we all still miss those waves of sound, colourfull landscapes and vibrations that your music created. Personally I think Andy is wasted as bass player, and should be writing more songs for Oasis.
It's 100% Feeling !!

-- One of the great underated bands..far more influential than given credit for,and any mention of them always brings back fond teenage memories..first record heard was the "Fall"EP..first gig Crystal Palace Bowl (supporting the Pixies),June 1991..i recall hearing an early version of "Leave Them All Behind" that day and being blown away despite the 100foot lake seperating crowd from stage...a fantastic and much-missed band...

Ride were awsome that night and I only recently got rid of my ong sleeve top (found in a box of old clothes) which, unfortunately was goosed (I quite fancied washing it out and wearing it again ha ha)

-- Ride were the first band I ever saw, it was the 5th May 1990, I was with my best mate Chris who sadly passed away last year. It was electric, my ears were ringing for days after. Three weeks later we saw the Stone Roses at Spike Island I turned up in my "play" t-shirt, thinking I was supercool!!
We saw Ride lots of times, I think the best was at The academy in Manchester were a very young Verve were supporting, what a night. Then there was Slough the day before my 18th Birthday, we had back stage passes and met the lads, they were sound. There were loads of memories blagging half their funsize chocolates from their tour bus as they looked on bewildered b y our cheek. They were good lads and their music will live on for me. Nice one RIDE. I'll be telling my grandkids about that night at International 1 on 5/5/90.

-- I saw Ride at many different venues - in brighton, manchester, at Glastonbury, London - they were, and still are, right at the top of my all time favourites. Simply superb. Favourite Ride moment - Kentish Town - Town and Country club in 1990 - Slowdive supporting and me standing next to Kevin Shields (until Ride came on and then I lost my head).
