hello there, heres an old fan of ride from switzerland, sadly i never had the
chance to see them live, but still listen sometimes my favorite ride records
nowhere and going blank again, i was something about 16 or 17......
still get them on vinyl and some singles, latest one i have is tarantula all vinyl's

Hey chaps, thought I'd drop by. Dug up my Ride collection the other day whilst visiting the mother. Played the entire collection over the weekend and realised how much I missed the boys from Oxford.
Saw the chaps a few times, but I think Daytripper was my fav!

I first saw RIDE at a gig at Trinity College Dublin back in the late eighties or possibly very early nineties. After the gig we got to briefly speak to Andy and Mark as they loaded their Leyland Sherpa!!The band that started all the others. Is it just me or is Coldplay's "In My Place" the same song as "Dreams Burn Down"???? Its just a shame that things fell apart. My mates and I had a band who's set was mainly RIDE songs so Mark, If you read this, come to Ireland mate and we'll be your band.

Ah the shoegazing 90s. I remember the first time I heard ride, in a little place in downtown birmingham --- Alabama - not England. Also saw Ride play there of all places on going blank again tour.

Since the band insist on not reforming properly and doing a bit of touring, is there any chance of some decent live recordings from the good ol' days being released, perhaps even if just for download? My Brixton video is getting a bit worse for wear and the sound quality is appalling!

you now. Saw you live in Toronto once - fantastic! Anyway, it was a lot of fun

Nowhere is the best album i ever heard, It´s so special for me, I can´t understand all lyrics(my english level is so.......)but the music (most important for me) is excellent. You can see diferent landscapes with it.
I d like to heard the Ride´s version of "eight miles high" (The Byrds)

Great memories, fell in love with the band's sound back in 1990, I was 15. Still listen to the Fall ep, should have always been on the album to be honest. Glad to see the lads are still in music (hope Steve still plays his bass, even if its only in his bathroom). Lost touch with the band circa Carnival so will investigate Tarantula.
